Twitter marketing, cutomer engagement

If you create and promote content online, then you know that Twitter is still very much an essential tool for getting more clicks to your latest blog post or article. Despite the reported decline of user growth in Twitter during the last quarter of 2015, it’s not nearly out of the social media marketing game. Bloggers like you and I will continue to tweet and share our ideas on Twitter.

Of course, with all the benefits of getting your content out through Twitter, it’s also time-consuming. Ensuring that you tweet at a regular pace every day is not possible without a social media manager or an app that automates your tweets. That’s why Twitter management apps like Hootsuite, SocialPilot and Buffer are so popular with serious social media users.  Every day, new apps are made to make tweeting a more efficient way to promote content and gain followers.

4 Twitter Marketing Tips for Better Results

One such app is ManageFlitter. It’s more than just a tweet scheduler because it provides other features like analytics, follower insights and suggested content in several categories. These and more features make this app a multi-faceted tool for optimizing your Twitter account. Using the app for a few days, I immediately saw the difference from other tools I’ve used before. Before signing up, note that a free account has limited features and that you can upgrade to a Pro account ($12/month) or a Business account ($49/month). For the purpose of this review, I opted for the Business account on a 14-day trial.

Knowing your followers on Twitter

When you sign up for a ManageFlitter account, you’ll immediately see your dashboard and a Manage tab where you get lots of information about your Twitter followers. This includes users you follow who are not following you back, users without profile images (commonly viewed as spam or fake accounts), inactive users, influential users and the list goes on.

The purpose of this tab is to unfollow users — as filtered by categories on the left — by clicking on the “Unfollow” button beside a user’s profile image.

Note that you can hover over a user to get more user details including bio, the number of followers, follower/following ratio and when the account was created.

Faster and advanced search

The next tab in ManageFlitter is Search. It’s divided into three sub-categories: Account Search, Tweet Search and Search Your Account. Account Search looks for users with names or keywords that you provide, Tweet Search looks for tweets about topics you specify and Search Your Account limits the results from within your account.

The search results can further be filtered into several categories including Spam score, Followers/Following ratio and Influence. By default, the results are displayed with the most recent tweets on top of the page.

Simple Twitter Analytics: Simplify data for your account

The next tab within the ManageFlitter application is Analytics. It’s divided into Account Analytics, Tweet Analytics, Account History and Email Reports.

Account Analytics gives you an overview of the number of followers, the number of people you follow, the number of tweets, the number of times you were added to a Twitter list and both your Influence and Spam score.

There’s also graphs of the daily follower and following growth (or decline), where you get insight on what time of the week you got most followers. This important piece of information can help greatly on scheduling your content and getting followers at that ideal time.

The lightning bolts indicate schedule posts within ManageFlitter, referred to as Power Posts.

Tweet Analytics monitors and presents similar graphs for a specific keyword, whether it’s a topic or a specific Twitter user. Some ManageFlitter user accounts require an upgrade to monitor more than one keyword at once.

Automate & engagement

The next tab is Engagement and under this is Power Post, Suggested Content, Inbox and Google+ Sync.

Power Post is where you can set a posting schedule and add content to that schedule. You can add your own custom content and preview the ideal time to post it on Twitter based on your location and/or time zone. To know about how this estimation works, you can click on the little “Explain” button below the graph.

You can click “Add more data to timeline” to further customize the ideal posting time, like limiting it to your top 100 followers.

Clicking over to Suggested Content will give you popular tweets you can add to your posting queue. Suggested Content can be filtered into many categories, including Career, Sports and Social Media. Just click “Add to Queue” to add any of the content to your scheduled posts.

The Inbox section is where you see all mentions, direct messages and retweets for your account. You can tick off each item and mark it as read, set as spam, delete it or place it in the archive.

Google+ Sync lets you automatically tweet your public Google+ posts to Twitter. You need to check that your Google+ sharing setting is set to Public prior to posting an update so it can appear on your Twitter feed.

Conclusion: Is ManageFlitter as cool as it promises?

.As good as that sounds, it may not be as advanced as one might expect, especially for those who have tried more popular social media tools. In essence, ManageFlitter takes Twitter management back to the basics, making it as simple and user-friendly as possible.
